Garmin launches super-luxe fitness tracker for adventurers Vs Apple Watch Series 6
Apple and Garmin are probably two of the biggest names you can think of when it comes to smartwatches today. It’s quite difficult to compare the two, mainly because they were not designed for the same type of people and both offer different features that set them apart in their respective fields. Garmin watches are perhaps focused more on runners, cyclists and triathlon athletes, mainly for their accuracy and precision.

They come in different models so athletes of all abilities can pick that one particular model that suits their needs the most. They also have a lot in common with smartwatches, with features such as message and diary alerts/reminders. Not only that, certain models, including the Fenix, also support music playback and contactless payments support.

On the other hand, the Apple watch is considered the current best smartwatch in a broader view. Through the years, Apple made great strides in fitness tracking and targeted fitness enthusiasts more aggressively with its latest iteration of the Apple Watch. There is also a sizeable fitness section in the Watch branch of Apple’s App Store.

Rather than comparing the two smartwatches, perhaps it’s easier if you ask yourself what you primarily want out of a smartwatch. While Garmin is geared more towards athletes, and Apple watches are more of a niche product for offering a mini iPhone, the similarities and differences between the two brands are important to know.

As mentioned before, Garmin watches are geared more towards serious athletes that want to use them as a tool for their workouts. The higher end Garmin models are built to last with sapphire glass which can help sustain tough weather conditions. In terms of battery life, you can expect the battery life to last much longer than the Apple Watch. While you can charge your Garmin watch once a week, the Apple Watch needs to be charged on a daily basis.

There are plenty of reasons why the Apple Watch are rated the current best smartwatch in the market. First and foremost, the Apple watch is like having a mini phone attached to your wrist. It is great to use if you are a frequent traveler. You can get a lot of your daily tasks done just on the Apple watch like quick replies, phone calls, check various apps, do Twitter tasks, and many more. There are just so many things that you are able to do from an Apple Watch and it really helps to eliminate time otherwise spend on the phone.

All in all, both Garmin & Apple watches are great gadgets designed for people with specific needs and want. As long as you know what you are primarily looking for in a smartwatch, both excellent choices.
